Back on the Eurostar. After leaving a freezing Brussels station, the sun made an appearance through clouds.
From my window seat, as always, I snapped some excellent clouds as we hurtled through Wallonia at 300km p/hour -
At St Pancras Tracey Emin's pink neon I want my time with you was the familiar welcome below the Dent clock.
It feels to me that I have spent as much time at St Pancras station over the last 14 or so years as I have in any of the places that have been my various homes in this time.
I know it like the back (palm?) of my hand.
It's not that I have either a particular love or dislike for it, rather just a deep, intimate familiarity.
St Pancras station has been the backdrop to a whole gamut of life situations and experiences over these years, from drudgery to misery and despair to pleasure, hope, adventure and possibility.
Here we are again.
