 Today it seemed that summer had lasted only a day yesterday and gone away. It was Sunday, and a good-book-and-stay-inside kind of day.

My phone has offered up a picture, though, of yesterday last year, which was a different kind of day: taken while cycling around the dreven here. There's hope, is what I thought.

And dinner was good Spanish pork with fat green Flemish asparagus and a Cape wine. Not bad.
