 Summer arrived suddenly today. Until the day before yesterday we were in winter coats and scarves, and this morning woke to full summer with a high of 29 degrees. 

Walking up to Kettles Yard to meet a friend post work, this was Portugal Place, one of my favourite streets in Cambridge -

Crossing the river on Bridge Street, the punts were doing a roaring trade -

and the whole world and its dog were sunning themselves in the outdoors, feeling the longed-for pleasure of sun on bare arms and legs

At last. Now to finish the planning for a road trip to the south next month.
