Things in flight, again.
I've noticed that the new agapanthus is a magnet for bees.
I'm fascinated by the level of commitment and enthusiasm they have for the task.
Just look at that deep dive into the heart of the flower to suck its energy and life-giving nectar -
- his entire head disappeared and just the wee bum and back legs wiggling in the air -
And since it was Belgium's national day, there was the short-lived but loud excitement of the airforce fly-over this afternoon from Brussels to Ostend.
Gratuitous pageant of hegemonic masculinity and power versus the mutually productive collaboration between flower and bee?
I only noticed afterwards the bird in this photo below. Exiting stage opposite, fleeing the noise and violence of the military flying machines -
